The Silkmen return to the Leasing.com Stadium this evening, as we face Witton Albion in another vitally important Northern Premier League West Division fixture.
Neil Danns’ side moved nine-points clear at the league summit on Saturday, courtesy of a 2 – 1 victory at Bootle and as such, tonight’s game represents another opportunity to take a step towards our goal of promotion.
Witton cannot be underestimated however – particularly in light of the fact that Jon Macken’s side reigned victorious in the return fixture at Wincham Park back in September.
Albion are currently ninth in the league standings, having accumulated thirty-three points from their opening twenty-three fixtures.
They come into tonight’s game on the back of a 3 – 2 victory against Kidsgrove Athletic at the weekend.
TEAM NEWS
Marcelo Pitaluga continues to be ruled out due to an ankle ligament injury and Tom Clare is unavailable for tonight’s game.
