Macclesfield FC were delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Danny Whitehead following his departure from AFC Fylde in the summer of 2024.  The Silkmen legend became the third addition to the squad ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.  Danny’s is a name that will forever be etched in the memories of many Silkmen fans following Macclesfield Town’s promotion from the National League in 2017/18.  Whitehead was also a part of the squad that made it to the FA Trophy Final in 2017 and secured League Two survival in 2019/20.  The 31-year-old has made a significant number of appearances in the Football League and National League - providing vast experience within the Silkmen ranks.  Whitehead is a versatile, hard-working midfielder with an eye for goal.
