The 31-year-old midfielder became the second signing of the summer – adding a great amount of quality to Robbie Savage’s midfield options.  He made over 40 appearances last season in the National League North - scoring nine times from the centre of midfield.  The midfielder has enjoyed a number of spells in the Football League - most notably with Lincoln City, making over 60 appearances for The Imps.  Whitehouse has also had spells in the National League with Scunthorpe United before stints at Spennymoor Town and Chester most recently.  Back in 2016, Whitehouse received a call-up for England C where he found the back of the net against Estonia.
