The Silkmen were delighted to welcome the services of midfielder George Wilson following his departure from AFC Fylde. A fellow title winner alongside Lincoln at the Coasters, Wilson was a mainstay in the Lancashire side's midfield, making over 40 appearances in the Enterprise National League North. Starting out at Blackburn Rovers, he progressed through their Academy ranks before making an early career move to Sweden to play for Ljungskile SK. On his return to the UK, Wilson played a major role for Coalville Town on their run to the FA Cup First Round, eventually losing out to Charlton Athletic at The Valley. A two-year spell at Altrincham followed before he moved to Mill Farm to further his career with Craig Mahon’s side.
