Macclesfield FC were delighted to welcome back midfielder James Edmondson on loan from Blackburn Rovers. Edmondson returns from the EFL Championship side on a short-term loan having impressed at the Leasing.com Stadium during his initial extended spell with Macclesfield last season, scoring three goals, one of which on his debut against Ashton United in the FA Trophy. The 19-year-old has continued to impress back at his parent club since being recalled from the Silkmen, featuring regularly for Rovers’ U21’s, most recently Captaining the side that beat a youthful Preston North End 3-1 in the Lancashire FA Senior Cup.
