Shortly after the start of the 2025/26 season, the Silkmen were delighted to announce the arrival of full-back Luis Lacey. The now 21-year-old joined the Silkmen following his departure from Curzon Ashton. He offers great versatility to the squad, with him able to operate as a full-back, on the wing, and as a midfielder. The full back by trade featured in the early stages of his career in the academies of Barnsley and Tranmere Rovers. Lacey’s first senior move saw him go on loan to Flint Town from Prenton Park, where he was named in the JD Cymru North Team of the Season in 2023/24 following a successful season with the Silkmen. He spent a season at the Tameside Stadium, where he earned valuable experience in the National League North, which could be valuable in the Silkmen’s challenge.
