Sam joined Macclesfield in the summer of 2023 and is renowned to be a fearless and powerful defender.  Starting his career at Altrincham, Sam moved to Ramsbottom United in 2017 before transferring to Hyde United twelve months later.  After returning to Moss Lane, Sam made the move to West Didsbury before signing for Runcorn Linnets in the summer of 2022.  A string of impressive performances made Sam a much sought-after figure, and everyone at the Leasing.com Stadium was delighted when he joined Mark Duffy’s side ahead of the 2023/24 season.  After playing a vital role in the 2024/25 promotion-winning season, Sam agreed a new deal with the Club ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
