The 6ft 5" striker began his career at Barnsley and he would spend eleven years at Oakwell, progressing into the Under-18 and Under- 23 sides.  In the summer of 2018, Tom made the move across Yorkshire to join Bradford City and would head out on loan to Boston United the following March in order to gain First Team experience.  After impressing with five goals in seven appearances during his initial spell at York Street, Tom would join The Pilgrims on a permanent basis in July 2019.  Scoring five goals in fifteen appearances during the 2019/20 campaign, Tom then enjoyed a short spell at Bradford Park Avenue before signing for Buxton in July 2020.  A move to Pontefract Collieries followed and Tom would regularly appear for The Colls before the 2020/21 season was prematurely curtailed as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.  Tom initially joined The Silkmen in the summer of 2021 – playing a vital role in the Club’s back-to-back promotions.  After stints on Love Island, Tom returned to the Club in March 2024 and committed to The Silkmen once again ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
