Macclesfield FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Alderson as our new Women’s First Team manager.

After our double-winning campaign last season, our ladies embark on a new challenge in a new league under new management headed up by Mark.

Having been manager of our U18 Girls and First Team manager back in 2021/22, ‘Aldo’ knows the philosophy of the Club and will be able to use his experience as Head of Women’s Football to develop the pathway from our Academy to the First Team.

New Women’s First Team Manager Mark Alderson said the following –

“I know how good the squad is and what they can achieve and what their aspirations are. I am personally really happy to be reinstated and help the girls push on to achieve more success.

“The Club has done a really good job of setting a pathway through the Junior Academy to the First Team.”

“The success has been there, but we want to keep building and push up through the leagues as quickly as we can with the talent we’ve got and it’s exciting how it’s building year by year.”

Our Women’s First Team start their campaign at home to Wirral Phoenix this Sunday and it would be great to get as many supporters down as possible.
