CLUB STATEMENT: VITALITY WOMEN’S FA CUP

After meeting with representatives from The Football Association earlier today, Macclesfield FC are intensely saddened to confirm that our Women’s First Team have been removed from this year’s Vitality Women’s FA Cup.

This is as a result of a genuine and honest administration error prior to our First Qualifying Round tie against Wythenshawe Amateurs.

Those responsible, as well as the Football Club as a whole are devastated by the news and would like to offer our most sincere apologies to all our incredible players and supporters.

A full investigation into how this was allowed to happen is being conducted and we will take the appropriate action in order to ensure that this upsetting situation is never repeated.

We wish Wythenshawe Amateurs every success in the next round.
