The FA have now confirmed the dates for each round of the 2026/27 Emirates FA Cup
After another memorable year in the competition’s illustrious history, the governing body of English football and competition organisers of the oldest tournament in the sport are now preparing for another campaign ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Silkmen proudly featured as one of the stories, if not the story of last year’s competition, reaching the Fourth Round, facing two Premier League sides along the way, one of which the competition holder at the time, Crystal Palace, capturing the eyes and imagination of football fans around the world, as the Leasing.com Stadium played host to two of the most memorable fixtures in both the Club and the Cup’s recent history.
With Manchester City crowned as last year’s Champions in May having swept aside Chelsea at the home of football, Wembley Stadium, the dates have now been set for what are always dates to be earmarked in the calendar of every Club and fan alike.
The initial rounds of the tournament will begin on Saturday 8th August, with the Extra Preliminary Round, ahead of the Preliminary Round on the 22nd August, followed by the First Qualifying Round on the 5th September, before the Silkmen’s entry point, the Second Qualifying Round on the 19th September.
Dates will be reserved in the Enterprise National League North schedule to allow these games to take place, as per the Third Qualifying Round on the 3rd October.
Should we go any further way to replicating our memorable run in the competition last season, fixture re-scheduling would likely be required with the league schedule inevitably resuming as normal from Saturday 17th October, running parallel to ties in the Fourth Qualifying Round onwards.
Non-league teams who progress to the First Round Proper of the Emirates FA Cup are to ensure their Cup game takes precedence on Saturday 7th November, from which point they can be drawn to face EFL sides in front of the television cameras, as per the Second Round, taking place on Saturday 5th December.
A date noted nationwide right up to the top flight of English football is Emirates FA Cup Third Round weekend, falling in 2027 on the 9th & 10th January. The Silkmen will be hoping to feature in the draw once again this time round, and should history repeat itself, they would be preparing for a home draw against Manchester City, live on BBC and TNT Sports, who have each retained the rights for the upcoming campaign!
Should we equal our record, Fourth Round ties will take place on Saturday 13th February, and if we go one further, the Fifth Round of the competition is set to resume on Saturday 6th March.
The quarter finalists will appear in the tournament once again on Saturday 3rd April, before the first trips to Wembley are made in the semi final on Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th April.
This season’s famous final, broadcasted globally from the Capital will be the weekend of the 22nd May.
We are incredibly excited to be competing in the famous old tournament once again this year and are looking forward to entering at the Second Qualifying Round stage on the 19th September.
