BRANDON NEWELL ARRIVES AT THE LEASING.COM STADIUM

10 Jun 2022 | First Team

Despite a considerable amount of interest from higher division teams, Macclesfield FC are delighted to announce that midfielder Brandon Newell has agreed terms with the Club ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

The 17-year-old arrives at the Leasing.com Stadium after an inspired season at Abbey Hulton that saw him become the youngest-ever recipient of the NWCFL First Division South Player of the Year Award.

Brandon started the 2021/22 season at Rochester where he gained three Man of the Match nominations in his opening six games.

Following an approach from Abbey Hulton, the talented midfielder then made the switch to Drayton Beaumont Park where he went on to make thirty-two appearances.

Brandon averaged a Man of the Match performance every three games and therefore, he was the deserved winner of the NWCFL First Division South Player of the Year Award earlier in the week.

The wealth of interest in Brandon exemplifies the undoubted potential that he has and we are delighted to have secured his services at the Leasing.com Stadium.

We wish Brandon every success during his time at Macclesfield FC and will be catching up with him shortly to discuss the move.
