WILL BELL SIGNS FOR THE SILKMEN

19 Jul 2022 | First Team

Macclesfield FC are delighted to confirm the signing of commanding defender Will Bell, who has joined the Club from fellow Pitching In NPL West side Bootle.

The 28-year-old has agreed terms ahead of the 2022/23 campaign following a successful trial spell at the Leasing.com Stadium.

Will progressed through the youth ranks at Morecambe, before moving over the Welsh border to join Bala in August 2014.

After enjoying the 2014/15 campaign at Maes Tegid, Will then signed a permanent deal at Bala before signing for Aberystwyth in the summer of 2016.

A return to Bala ensued – together with spells at Rhyl and Colwyn Bay, before Will returned to England in order to sign for Bootle ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

Will made 39 appearances for The Bucks last term, as he proved to be a solid and reliable centre-half for the Merseyside outfit.

We are delighted that Will has decided to join us here at Macclesfield and will be discussing the move with him shortly.
