A young Silkmen XI head to Lancashire tomorrow afternoon for our next pre-season friendly against Colne FC

For those heading to the Haffners Eats Stadium, here is all the key information you need to know.

About the Club – Founded – 1996, Nickname – The Reds, Manager – Andy Harrison, Ground – Haffners Eats Stadium, Capacity – 1,800, 2025/26 POS – 15th (NWCFL)

Public Transport – Trains are operating on their usual regular basis from Macclesfield station tomorrow, with two changes required to reach Colne, the first of which at Manchester Piccadilly and the second at Preston, with the total journey taking just shy of three hours. It is then approximately a 20 minute walk from Colne station to the stadium. The X43 bus also departs from Printworks in Manchester regularly, with the ride to Burnley taking just over an hour. Colne FC is then approximately a 20 minute taxi ride from Burnley bus station.

By Car – The most efficient route via car to Colne is initially through Adlington on the A523, across the A555 to join the A34 at Handforth and then head anti-clockwise round the M60, following the ring road round until merging on to the M66, becoming the A56 at Edenfield, remaining on the A road as far as the Huncoat & Hapton junction of the M65, joining the stretch between Blackburn and Burnley in an easterly direction to the end of the motorway, continuing on Vivary Way after the roundabout and turning left on to Harrison Drive, where the stadium is located on the right hand side.

Parking – On-site parking is limited with street parking available nearby. When parking, we ask supporters to be respectful of local residents at all times.

Arrangements – Entry is £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and free for U16’s at Saturday’s game. We encourage as many of the Silkmen faithful to attend as possible to support the future of Macclesfield FC.

This match is not segregated, with fans able to watch from wherever they wish within the stadium given the unrestricted access upon admission to the ground.

Food and Drink – Hot and cold refreshments will be available for visiting supporters inside the ground.
