CLUB STATEMENT ON NEW PLAYER CONTRACTS

23 Mar 2023 | Latest News

On publication of the announcement regarding new player contracts signed on or after 1st July 2023,  we have made the decision that Macclesfield FC (whose majority of First Team players are contracted) will advise all newly contracted players to “opt in” to the Club agreement to be paid their normal wage, during the entire length of their contract and through any period of serious injury or sickness. This is an independent Club decision.

In addition, in any event of serious injury or sickness, they would also see out their contract term with us at the Club.

Our players show massive loyalty to us as a Club, and we are committed to extending our loyalty back to them.
