Macclesfield FC can confirm that Dontai Gabidon has joined Hyde United on loan until the end of the 2025/26 season

Gabidon was originally loaned to Northern Premier League side Warrington Town at the beginning of the 2025/26 campaign for three months, after which he briefly returned to the Silkmen before a fresh deal was agreed with Stalybridge Celtic for an additional month’s loan.

Following this expiry of his short spell with the Celts in the Northern Premier League West Division at the end of January, Dontai has since agreed terms with another Northern Premier League outfit in the form of Hyde United for the rest of the season.

Former Macclesfield manager Michael Clegg, who has recently taken over at The Tigers, took a keen interest in the full back having been a part of the Silkmen’s record breaking Northern Premier League campaign last season and performing well during both loan spells with Warrington and Stalybridge at a similar level in recent weeks and months.

Originally signed by Robbie Savage in the summer of 2024 from FC United of Manchester, Dontai has been presented with the best possible opportunity to enjoy regular game time out on loan, now with Hyde, under the watchful eye of the Silkmen.

Everyone at Macclesfield FC would like to wish Dontai the very best of luck during his spell at Ewen Fields and look forward to him returning to the Leasing.com Stadium at the end of the season following what we hope will be a successful stint with the Tigers.

Go well, Dontai!
