JAMES EDMONDSON JOINS THE SILKMEN ON LOAN

21 Oct 2024 | Latest News, Men's First Team

Macclesfield FC are delighted to announce the loan signing of highly rated midfielder James Edmondson from Blackburn Rovers subject to approval.

The 18-year-old joins us for a month from Ewood Park, which provides him with a great experience of senior football.

Edmondson recently signed a new long-term deal with Rovers and made his senior debut in the Carabao Cup last season.

The midfielder came off the bench against Harrogate Town back in August and scored on his senior debut in a commanding 8-0 victory.

James is a very technical player who has a great eye for a pass and will be to add to his current experience during his time at the Leasing.com Stadium.

Head Coach Robbie Savage said the following:

“We are delighted to welcome James to the Football Club.

“James is an exciting young player and we are pleased to be able to offer him a taste of senior football.

“I have got a very strong rapport with Stu (Jones) and First Team Manager John (Eustace), so to be able to bring in these young talents highlights the relationship between the two clubs.”

We would like to wish James a warm welcome to the Leasing.com Stadium and wish him every success during his time here.
