JON JOINS

The Silkmen are delighted to have agreed terms starting from 1st of August with former Shrewsbury Town, Ipswich Town & Tranmere Rovers midfielder Jon Nolan!

The 31 year-old caught the eye amidst a lengthy spell in the football league, featuring regularly for all three of the above Clubs, and totting up almost 150 appearances across England’s top four divisions.

The midfield maestro has impressed in Macclesfield’s two most recent pre-season fixtures, featuring heavily in each one on trial, prior to agreeing a season-long deal.

Jon is the Silkmen’s sixth summer signing, slotting immediately in to contention for a place in the starting XI.

Everyone at Macclesfield FC would like to wish Jon every success during his spell at the Club.

Nolan will make his first official appearance for the Club in Saturday’s visit to AFC Telford.

This signing has been made possible thanks to the amazing support we have received from fans, sponsors and the Silkmen Supporters Trust through 50/50 ticket sales who have collectively backed our Boost The Budget initiative.
