Our next Junior Academy Focus comes in the form of our Under 12 Select side who won their game at the weekend.

It was a fast start, pressing high in forward areas forcing the opposition into mistakes. The first goal came from this high press with them winning a corner from pressing the opposition and heading home the corner.

The lads were applying what they had learned in training well and looking to high press wherever viable.

Macc went into half-time in front following some good combination play creating a goalscoring opportunity.

It was a strong start to the second half, upping the pressure and winning the ball back in the final third.

The Young Silkmen did well in ensuring they tested the keeper whenever they could from their high press.

There were many strengths from the game particularly in One on One situations as well as the main aim which was making sure they pressed the opposition high.
