JUNIOR ACADEMY FOCUS: UNDER 13 SELECT

Our next Junior Academy Focus comes from our Under 13 Selects who were victorious in their game at the weekend.

The main aim before the start of the game was to ensure that they were locking on as quickly as possible.

They took this feedback on board incredibly well with a constant desire to win the ball back in high areas of the pitch.

One taking point from the first half was to recognise cues that the opposition would look for a long ball, but for the most part, it was dealt with well.

In the second half, much of what was spoken about in the first half was carried over into the second half.

There was a real emphasis on moving the ball quickly with one or two touch football being in the player’s mindset.

A major positive from the game was the desire to win the ball back in forward areas.
