Macclesfield FC Women’s First Team travel to Lancashire on Sunday, as they face Bury FC Women at Gigg Lane in what poses to be an emotional return to a fellow ground we temporarily lost in 2020.
Having secured a much needed first league victory of the 2025/26 campaign away at Liverpool Feds Reserves last weekend, Macc’s ladies will be keen to keep up the momentum when they look to progress in the Alliance & Design Print Cup against our counterparts who suffered a similar fate to the Silkmen five years ago.
We encourage all Macclesfield fans to make the journey down memory lane to Bury rally behind our Women to help them secure their place in the next round of the tournament, and pay a touching visit once more to the infamous Gigg Lane, which we’re glad to see back in use and hosting another Macclesfield side, albeit years later.
Kick-off is 14:00 with admission prices at Bury set as £3 for adults and £1 for children.
We wish the ladies all the very best of luck for the tie and hope that they can pick up another vital win.
The line-up and full time score will be published at the relevant times on the Club’s social media outlets.
