MATCH PREVIEW: CITY OF LIVERPOOL V MACCLESFIELD

The Silkmen head to Bootle’s Berry Street Garage Stadium this afternoon, looking to maintain their perfect start to the new campaign against City of Liverpool.

With four epic victories secured in the opening four games, there can be no doubt that Danny Whitaker’s side will be full of confidence going into the game.

They will come up against a City of Liverpool side seeking their first league points of the new campaign – after suffering back-to-back defeats against Glossop North End and Skelmersdale United respectively.

Despite the contrasting fortunes of the two sides thus far, the game should prove to be an entertaining one – with both sides setting their sights on claiming maximum points.

TEAM NEWS

Neil Danns and Jacob Hanson face late fitness tests ahead of the game, whilst Nicky Maynard will hope to recover from a thigh strain suffered in last week’s Emirates FA Cup tie at Mossley.

Mark Duffy is also a doubt, as he recovers from a calf strain.
