SCOTT HOLDING BECOMES OUR NINTH SUMMER ADDITION

Macclesfield FC are delighted to announce the signing of defender Scott Holding following his departure from Watford. 

Following a successful trial with the Club over the summer, Holding becomes our ninth summer addition and adds to our defensive options.

The 20-year-old came on in the second half of our Pre-Season victory against Stalybridge on Tuesday and added great quality to our backline.

Having started at Stockport County’s Academy, Holding secured a move back in 2022 to join Championship side Watford.

During his time with the Hornets, he had two loan spells with Stalybridge Celtic and Dover Athletic making 25 appearances in the National League South last season.

The tall defender adds a great aerial presence to the squad as well as being comfortable on the ball suiting The Silkmen’s playing philosophy.

Everyone at the Club would like to wish Scott all the best during his time at the Leasing.com Stadium.
