SILKMEN SCOOP PRESTIGIOUS BUSINESS AWARD

01 Dec 2022 | Latest News

Macclesfield FC claimed another prestigious award recently, as the Club was presented with the Business of the Year accolade for companies with a £1.5m and over turnover at the North East Cheshire Business Awards.

In a glittering ceremony held at The Mere, representatives from some of the most respected local businesses gathered for what proved to be an unforgettable experience.

After enjoying an exquisite three-course meal, Silk 106.9’s Mike Wain and Darren Antrobus began the formal awards ceremony.

Commercial Manager Max Bardsley-Rowe and Club Secretary Patrick Birch were honoured to be presented with our award – which was the eagerly anticipated final one of the night.

Max stated –

“It really was a brilliant night and one which I will remember for years to come.

“I felt truly privileged to be amongst such esteemed company and to win the final award of the night was an unbelievable feeling.

“It really does make you realise what we have achieved here at Macclesfield FC and there is no doubt that everyone is committed to making sure that we go from strength to strength.”

Director Robert Smethurst added to this with the following –

“This award is testament to the incredible hard work that all our staff have put in since the Club was reborn.

“It is also recognition for the incredible amount of belief that has been placed in us by our fans and commercial partners alike.

“Without these, we would be a mere shadow of the Club that we are today.

“So to everyone who has played their part, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
