MATCH PREVIEW: LEEK TOWN V MACCLESFIELD

16 Aug 2022 | Match Preview

The Silkmen will contest their first away game of the 2022/23 Northern Premier League at Leek Town this evening, as Danny Whitaker’s side look to secure back-to-back victories.

The new campaign started with a resounding 3 – 0 victory against Clitheroe on Saturday, whilst our hosts also had the perfect start – enjoying a 4 – 0 victory at Bootle.

As such, the two sides currently reside right at the top of the embryonic league table and will be looking to continue their rich vein of early form this evening.

Danny Whitaker will be waiting to hear how Neil Danns, James Berry and Jacob Hanson have recovered from Saturday before naming his squad – although Zeki Fryers is also thought to be back in contention.

TICKET NEWS

The match is all-ticket, with none available on the gate.

Silkmen fans have bought around 850 from their allocation and will be situated along the Macclesfield Road end of the ground and the entire length of Grace Street end.
