MATCH PREVIEW: MACCLESFIELD V CLITHEROE

13 Aug 2022 | Match Preview

After what seems like an eternity since the end of our glorious title-winning campaign, The Silkmen commence their first-ever season at Step Four of the non-league pyramid this afternoon.

With the standout performers retained from last season and a wealth of high-quality signings joining the squad, there can be no doubt that everyone at the Club has high hopes for the coming months.

We will be the team that everyone wants to beat and we have to thrive off that pressure.

After just missing out on the play-offs last term, Clitheroe will certainly harbour ambitions of promotion this time around.

The certainly have the talent to achieve that – with Sephton Gonzales one of the most feared strikers in the division.

We are all set for what promises to be an enthralling game, as Danny Whitaker embarks upon his quest for back-to-back titles.
