MATCH PREVIEW: MACCLESFIELD V NEWCASTLE TOWN

The Silkmen travel to The Red Industries Stadium this afternoon, as we take on Newcastle Town in another away league clash.

After securing an away point last Saturday against 1874 Northwich, the Silkmen are now seven points clear of 2nd place Leek Town with only eight games remaining.

Newcastle come into the game in fifteenth position in the league, having accumulated thirty-six points from their opening thirty fixtures.

Last week, Newcastle beat fifth place Clitheroe 1 – 0 at The Red Industries Stadium with a goal from James Askey nephew of Macclesfield legend Sir John Askey.

Last time the two side met at the Leasing.com Stadium the Silkmen claimed all three points in a 3-0 victory with a brace from James Berry and goal from Alex Curran.
