MATCH PREVIEW: MACCLESFIELD V RUNCORN LINNETS

The Silkmen return to the Leasing.com Stadium this afternoon, as we take on Runcorn Linnets in our latest Northern Premier League West Division fixture.

With Leek Town not in action until Tuesday evening, Neil Danns’ side know that victory against our Cheshire rivals will see them open up a thirteen point lead at the league summit.

Our visitors currently reside in fourth place within the league standings – having accumulated 52 points from their opening 31 games played.

They come into the game on the back of a 3 -2 victory at Bootle last Saturday.

A brace from Ryan Brooke was coupled with a 78th minute Cameron Rooney strike, as Dave Wild’s side furthered their play-off ambitions.

Marcelo Pitaluga continues to be ruled out due to an ankle ligament injury and Tom Clare isn’t expected to be involved.
