MATCH PREVIEW: SKELMERSDALE UNITED V MACCLESFIELD

The Silkmen are back on the road this afternoon as we make the trip to The Community Ground, Burscough to take on Skelmersdale United.

Neil Danns’ side will be looking to extend their ten point lead at the top of the division as the season ebbs towards it’s conclusion.

Skem are currently ninth in the league standings, after accumulating 45 points from their opening 32 games.

They come into this afternoon’s contest on the back of a 2 – 1 away victory at Mossley last week.

Second half trikes from Elliot Morris and Joe Herbert proved to be decisive, with Andy Keogh bagging an injury time consolation for the hosts.

TEAM NEWS

Marcelo Pitaluga continues his recovery from an ankle ligament injury, with Brandon Lee back in contention after he missed last week’s dramatic victory against Runcorn Linnets.

James Berry is also nearing full fitness, but the game is thought to have come too soon for him to feature.
