MATCH PREVIEW: BUXTON (H)

15 Sep 2023

Share:

Macclesfield FC are back in Emirates FA Cup Second Qualifying Round action as we welcome local rivals Buxton to the Leasing.com Stadium.

The Silkmen come into the game off the back of a dominant 5-0 victory over Ashton United at the weekend and come into the cup game in good spirits. Mark Duffy’s side defeated Whickham FC in the previous round, but face a stern test in The Bucks.

Buxton enter the competition at this stage and will be hoping to replicate their run to the Second Round Proper where they were eventually knocked out by League One side at the time Ipswich Town.

Craig Elliott’s side come into the game off the back of their abandonment at the weekend away at Scunthorpe and currently sit 13th in the National League North.
