SILKMEN APPEAL FOR INFORMATION AFTER LEEK TRIP

18 Aug 2022 | Fans, Latest News

Further to Tuesday evening’s game at Leek Town, we would like to appeal to our fans for information after a pyrotechnic was thrown onto the pitch during the second half.

Not only are such devices not permitted in football stadia, they also represent a threat to the health and safety of all supporters.

In addition, they also can cause a considerable amount of damage – especially when thrown onto an artificial pitch.

We experienced this during our NWCFL Premier Division fixture against Avro earlier this year and are working hard with our colleagues at Leek in a bid to bring the perpetrator to justice.

The damage to Leek’s surface will cost a considerable amount of money to fix and as such, we will assist them in whatever way we can to bring criminal charges against the individual who caused it.

If you are able to provide any information on this, please email info@macclesfieldfc.com in the strictest confidence.
