MATCH PREVIEW: PRESCOT CABLES V MACCLESFIELD

The Silkmen contest their second away game of the week tomorrow afternoon, as we make the journey to the Joseph Russell Stadium to take on Prescot Cables.

David McNabb will be looking for a reaction from his side after the midweek defeat at Runcorn Linnets, as they come up against the side in ninth position within the Northern Premier League West Division standings.

Prescot have accumulated twenty-two points from their opening sixteen league fixtures and come into the game on the back of a 1 – 0 victory at Hanley Town last Saturday.

John Murphy’s 71st minute strike proved to be decisive in front of 193 spectators.

TEAM NEWS

Marcelo Pitaluga is out of tomorrow’s contest, having been withdrawn on Tuesday evening after sustaining ankle ligament damage. He is currently receiving specialist treatment at Liverpool and early indications suggest that he may be ruled out until the New Year.

Joe Mason and Nathan Pennington are both potential replacements for David McNabb’s side.

Brandon Lee also faces a race against time to be fit for the game, as he continues to recover from a hamstring strain.
