WOMEN’S FIRST TEAM UPDATE

After numerous consultations with relevant bodies this week, Macclesfield FC can confirm that our Women’s First Team have been docked six-points from their Cheshire Women’s & Youth Football League Premier Division tally.

This has come as a result of an issue with the international clearance of one of our players prior to home fixtures against Altrincham and Nantwich Town.

Throughout the week, the Club have sought to overturn the decision – yet this has proved to be in vain and we apologise for this.

Club representatives met with members of the Women’s First Team last night to explain the situation and were impressed by the fact that they are now even more determined to make this season a successful one.
